Well, it's hardly a relationship question, but I'll give it a shot, because it's really bothering me.

I have this landlady. I give her money. She takes it. We have this sort of special relationship, that way.

Coming to the main issue....

She wants me to move out before the end of the month. My rent cycle is the 1st to the end of the month. I wasn't able to move in here before the 2nd of the month, because the tenant who left before me didn't vacate in time. But I paid on the first. She specifically insisted I had to pay on the first but move in on the second.

She wants me to leave "before" the 31st of the month. Why before? I have no idea. Why the 31st? I assume someone else is moving in.

This is against the law right, to cut a day off my lease?

What can I do? (P.S. I really want the option to stay 2 days longer because I am literally moving out of this country, and this cuts down the time to pack/ get a reasonable flight out of here!!!!)
