Hi, I just wanted to give you (hopefully) some comfort. I can identify with the strange symptoms you described, about a year ago I began experiencing numbness and tingling on the left side of my face, arm, and leg. I was at school at the time, and it scared me so badly I left and went to the er. They told me it was possible it was stress related, but that it could also be a symptom of multiple sclerosis, which really did not help my anxiety at all! I was experiencing stress at the time (acclerated classes with alot of exams, and a relationship that I was addicted to but was afraid I was losing. I had a particularly bad case of the numbness and tingling one night, and it was on both sides of my body. What happened following that episode was the person I was so addicted to broke up with me, and feeling self destructive, I was taken to the psych ward and was checked in for 9 days. During this time, I was given an MRI and the test results were negative, I didn't have MS, which was a big relief. I still have anxiety, but the numbness and tingling have gone, hopefully forever! Please don't give up hope that this will pass...if your doctor has ruled out medical symptoms, I suggest seeing a therapist and perhaps a chiropractor (mine has done wonders for me, and I highly reccommend chiropractic care. Take care, and remember, there is always hope, and help.
