Hi Jeanne,

In the book Women are from Venus Men are from Mars it talks about how women are waves. they give give give (cresting) then come crashing down when there's little or no reciprocation. I watched this pattern in myself for a long time before i attempted to change it and even now it almost seems ingrained in me.
