'lissa we've chatted but here's something i was told by my sponsor. AA/sobriety needs to be first in your life above everything else. i balked cause family should be first, i said. she replied, if you're not sober you won't have family, job, stability or anything else cause you're drinking. it takes away everything you love. and that's true imho. so after that i knew AA/sobriety had to be my top priority and first in my life. it works!!! i'm so glad she told me that and my questioning her enabled me to understand the concept. no question is a stupid question.
