Lots to do. In 38 years we have done a lot together.
Camping, hiking, biking, walking.
Going to farmers market, flea markets, garage/yard sales (even if we don't buy anything), walk the mall, have a picnic lunch in a park. Look through antique stores.
Go to the RV show, the garden show, the nature show. Bird watch. Hang out in the beer gardens, go to the county, state, or city fairs.
Watch the stars at night, through the telescope. Listen to music, dance to music. Tell funny stories about our trips that we remember. Watch movies together. Talk about the days events, plan for future events. Pray together, laugh at stupid things we see and do. Remenise about old times. Talk about how good God has been to us.
Talk about old friends, the live and dead ones. Family that we miss, family that we don't miss. People watch. Sit out on the porch and say hi to eveyone that goes by. Offer a drink to those that stop and chat, don't offer drinks to those that stay too long. Have a bar-b-que and offer some to the neighbor who is an old man by himself. Chat with him for a while because he never gets and visitors. Check on him 3-4 times a week, see if he needs anything. Watch kids in a playground and remember when ours were little. say "I Love you" too much. I could go on and on.......it takes commitment, compatability and conversation to make it last.
