Hi, I'm looking for some advice. About 5 years ago I was experiencing severe testicular pain, and the pain wouldn't ever go away, so I made the decision to have my testicle removed. They did a biopsy on it and it turned out to be cancer. It spread and I had to have chemotherapy. Now, for about the past 2 months, I have been having pain in my remaining testicle. I saw the same dr I did 5 years ago (a urologist) and he said it's probably not cancer, although he said the exact same thing last time and turned out it was. He thinks it might just be "chronic testicular pain." My question, should I opt to have another surgery and have my only testicle removed, just in case it is something serious again, or should I risk it and keep it and hope it's nothing? The dr said he would do the surgery if I wanted, but there's risks for both. I just don't know what to do. What would you do if you were faced with this decision???
Thank you
