So good to see you back, Laura! I agree with you about there being a difference of expression in posts rather than chat. I feel that I express myself better in writing and, although chat is writing, the flow of conversation generally goes fast and I like to think about what I write. Even the correct word can make a difference.

I'm glad to hear your teachers were all cool about the missed exams. Sounds like most of them were in the psych field so they would definitely understand.

I don't know if he meant it this way, but I agree in that so many people have no grasp of mental illness or the pain we go through that one bout of it might cause a bit more understanding or compassion rather than being deemed "less than." (I don't wish anyone to be ill, but you get the idea.)
