As of April 3rd, I will be General Manager of a spin-off company to the one I currently work for. Right now, I am Executive Administrative Assistant to the VP of North American Operation (the VP's right hand for short.) My boss approached me last Friday and offered the new position to me, asking me to think about it over the weekend. We had a meeting today, and I accepted.

I have only been with my company since mid-September, so for him to offer me such a dramatic promotion totally floors me. I am very good at what I do now, but to think I've proven myself in that very short span of time for him to consider me as his first choice for this new company is a real pick-me-up.

Compared to a year ago, when I was wallowing in the depths of a deep bipolar depression, this is HUGE for me, and I just wanted to share my great news with everyone.
