I don't mind my therapist being on the same websites I am on. I outright tell them. Im not doing anything wrong by joining on line therapy and support groups so there is no reason I should keep it a secret. In many survivors lives they have to keep so many secrets to protect the abusers and keep the abuse from disclosure. I choose not to add to that by keeping needless secrets. Sharing my on line activities with my therapists has helped not only me but my therapists too.. My therapists learn of new resourses for all thier clients and by reading my posts they get to know me alot better and can understand what I talk about better. I don't have to waste alot of time explaining where I read something that I am asking a question about. I can just say on this website it says bla bla bla and whats with that how does that work and so on. SKR never abused being on the same websites that I am or knowing that I was in them. the same for LL. I told her what sites I was on and what names I was going by and she has never used knowing this against me in any way.
