Sorry to hear your mom isn't taking it so well. Not everyone will react how you want them to when they find out. Some people will be down right mean and/or abusive.

When I told my mom that I was seeing a woman and that I was bi, she actually seemed like she was ok with it. She had many gay friends, so she wasn't at all shocked about it. Although I am more attracted to women, I do find myself dating more men. Mostly due to the fact that the lesbian population around here is very small! I mean I live in a very traditional area where it's mostly straight.

Try to hang in there. Remember that your mom does love you and that she's having a hard time right now. But it by no means excuses her unnecessary behavior. Well, I think the meanness and all that is unnecessary...
