Many times alcohol becomes the main focus in an alcoholics life including over the needs of their children. That is not in the childs best interest and until the parent can provide an environment of stability and attention it may prove to be benenficial to place them the children in another envioronment. I believe that once the parents prove they are committed to remaining alcohol free I think they should be given the chance to reunite their family.
