Back to your question - I don't know if this is the first pscyh med you've taken but as an above poster said, it often takes a few weeks to a month to kick in. Also, it is kind of "trial and error" to find the right med in the right dosage for the right person.

I was started on Prozac years ago and felt like I had the flu, so my pdoc switched me to Zoloft which I've been on for years.

Calling pdoc is always the best thing to check out side-effects though.
