Does anyone have anything funny to share while they were manic, that in retrospect you totally regret due to embarrassment ?? I would have stated "shame and embarrassment" but sometimes we need to look at life with humor and reframe those moments and situations of shame into moments of utter stupidity...

Anyway, I will start..

Um basically one night I went out with my friend to a gallery opening (Los Angeles), and I saw my crush for 2 years (we never really talked though, but knew each other); I, of course, proceeded to get drunk from the $2 wine they had (haha) and started talking to him about david bowie and astrology (um, what the hell was i thinking?!) - anyway, i forgot that my other guy friend (who liked me alot) was coming along. So I am talking to my crush and certain that he likes me, and will make a move. I remind him of how we came to know each other (blah blah) and for some reason, he takes his phone out and I just start like giving him my number! In the meantime, my other two friends are behind me just chatting and my crush was actually with ANOTHER GIRL who was standing like 3 ft away. Oh God.

Here's the kicker: as I was giving him my number, he wasn't even typing it, he was just looking at me like I was some stranger. And then I told him to add me on facebook. Oh my God, so dumb. Anyway. I leave right after that with my friends.

Why did I do that? Oh yeah, bc I was manic and dumb and thought i was indestructible.

He never added me or called me. Jerk.

When I'm manic I just act like a stupid high school girl - drunk, flirty, chatty, loud
ugh. why

I do not think you are a jerk - I think that your behavior is very similar to mine when I go manic - it is a side effect I suppose of our illness, if you want to refer to it as such = I have had many similar experiences, particularly with the opposite sex - so...
