Wellbutrin isn't notoriously great for anxiety disorders, because it tends to be an activating drug, and it affects the non-serotinergic neurotransmitter systems. The better ADs for anxiety tend to be much more serotinergic -- the SSRIs, some of the more serotinergic TCAs. And there are drugs like milder antipsychotics, and Buspar, which was developed as an AP, but is marketed as an anxioltic.
