I'm sorry that she had to see that. It's traumatic enough to lose a friend that way. My suggestion is to let her talk about it if she needs to, but don't push the issue. Just let her say whatever it is that needs to be said and be accepting of her feelings. Children really are very resilient, but they need to have supportive adults around them whom they can count on.
