One of the joys of "this rollercoaster" is the faster you cycle, the quicker the chickens come home to roost after you have "done things".
e.g. you enthusiastically set up a whole lot of interviews to market a new product you invented and make huge promises over the phone while you are supercharged and full of energy, then a week later you crash, and people want to see you and have you present your great ideas about what you can do for their company. All you want to do is die, make the whole world go away and deal with its own problems.... And the chicks aren't hatching one by one, you laid a million of them, so they arrive on an ocean liner, and all demand your attention with frustration that you don't see them all as the most important one in the universe.
