It sounds like you live in a beautiful place. Bipolar can affect our sleeping patterns, so it's really important to have a structured sleep schedule (says the person who works shift work) If you don't already I would suggest asking for a sleeping pill prescription to use when you can't sleep. There are also herbs that can help with this, but I haven't tried them. Another thing I find that helps is to fill my day. If I don't I find I'm not tired at night.

While you're off work it's important to still make your day structured and you may want to start volunteering even if it's just a couple of hours per week. Staying up late etc. is a recipe for disaster for the bipolar and it can also be a symptom of a hypomanic or manic episode.
