I appreciate alot of what you say. It's apparent that you've done alot of research and have a great understanding of self. That is so awesome.
I, however, disagree that an insider can act out only if "reacting" in a memory. I do believe that it's usually triggered, but then can quickly take on a life of its own...blending past with present and creating a new set of circumstance, and memory...which that insider will hold and react to. As this insider deals with more, it separates more and becomes much more unique and evolved. I feel that happens from the time that the first dissociation takes place with a single "memory piece" and that's how insiders evolve, allowing for further separation and creating an internal self (with thoughts, views, understanding, and preferences) holding more than a single memory.
Basically, I think it might begin as you state. I do feel it evolves from there. I think there's more to it.

It sounds like this insider is angry and was determined to harm the body. When hubby stepped in, he was interfering with the goal, I think. I'm sorry this happened and was so confusing for everyone.
