Yes. The human body has both trigger points and tender points. The best thing is to work the "points" of pain with your thumbs, or something like a tennis ball. They are knots in the muscles, and it not relieved, can cause more intense painful problems.
You can google or yahoo fibromyalgia tender points, and myofascial trigger points (they are in different places, different causes) to find out more info.
