It’s not specific to DID people. I know a few people who have a problem with electrical stuff it has something to do with the magnetic energy in their body. I don't have that problem.
When I'm having a crappy day I look for distractions. It can be in anything, a movie a book, a computer game, or just doing some colouring in.
There are many things I would put off only to be surprised that they were either taken care of or at least a start had been made. When I was younger this stuff freaked me out. I thought I was imagining it and probably going mad. Such a relief to discover that it's only DID.
I have some funny stories too. I remember discovering that I had bought some red high heals!!! I thought, really!!! Red high heals!!! Another time found myself at a doo wearing a dress with a big bow, looked like something off a chocolate box cover!!! And hubby wasn't speaking to me because he had already forked out the cash for the higher of a ball gown.
All the goings on can definitely have you wondering if you're psychic. I know I did.
I can also relate to letting another part take over. If I'm struggling with something I often hear a niggling little voice and I end up saying, "Okay! If you think you can do better, do it!!"
We definitely need a sense of humour if we are to stay sane.
