I'm sorry to hear that your son is struggling right now. We're going to have my younger daughter evaluated for early-onset bipolar this summer, so I can understand a little about being afraid of what might be coming up. I'm not sure if this will be much of a consolation, but try to remember that if he is ultimately diagnosed with a mental illness, he will be one step ahead because he has you.
