Oh micky007,

I am not sure about those medications. I take clonazapam and it has helped me at night. But I do try not to take it during the day as yes, it does make me sleepy as well, but I find if I take 1/2 tablet during the day when it gets bad that does help.
My dose is 0.5mg tablets. I take one at night and try to get through the day without taking any but sometimes I do have to take 1/2.

Yes I know what you mean about the night issues, I get that way too and it can be very upsetting. And I am very sorry about your pdoc as even though they treat it, well, unless they experience it themselves it is very hard to understand it, very hard.
And it is very frustrating for the person who has it as we do feel very out of control and frustrated with it.

Are you getting help with a therapist. Hopefully you are working with one that truely specializes in PTSD. That is so important, and you have to briefly describe you issues with a prospective T and make sure they really understand it and have real therapy with it.

As far as your own work with it, you have to concentrate on thinking about putting it into perspective and really try to consciously remind yourself that it is just in the past an not taking place now. And be patient, remember how it took time before?
Well, it does take time and it will ease up.

I am very sorry that you have been struggling, just know that you are not alone and that we are always here for support. We all have struggles with it and are trying very hard to overcome it, and yes we do understand the difficulty.

Just try to remember that it will ease up. Try to come to PC and read the forums, maybe even chat a little, the process of reading and doing simple things with your eyes and brain can be very soothing. You may want to look into the method used with the stimulating the eyes, cant remember the name but it does seem to help people relax. I happen to find that PC has been a way to help me decompress.

Now you did have a life, so you can come and read the different threads and questions and try to reply with positive thoughts, that is also away to practice recovering yourself and it is very theraputic and can help you take your mind off of what you are dealing with.

If you chat try to make sure you make sense and even tell others that you are trying to keep your mind off of what you are dealing with. I have found that to be very helpful. I have made some good friends in the chat rooms. Try to make sure you pick a room that is more age appropriate for you as the younger crowd doesn't always understand and they can get upset easier, not their fault.

The best you can do is try to use PC as much as possible, it really helps as you begin to push your thought process into helpful ways of thinking, ways you thought before all of this. You can even come and play some games here, just the process, as I have mentioned of keeping your brain doing simple processing is so very theraputic.

Thanks for this!
