A lack of sleep always causes me to be excessively hypomanic, though I can get over sensitive or even aggressive once I get closer to being able to sleep. But at the same time, a lack of sleep almost ALWAYS indicates a fresh manic episode, so I think you should keep on the lookout for signs of a manic episode so you can make sure to keep yourself in check before doing something impulsive or silly. Unless you're type II, in which case, you should watch out for an increase in depression because that can be indicated by poor sleep quality & early morning waking. Is it a problem with falling asleep specifically or do you wake up in the middle of the night or wake up before you've had proper rest? I hope you sleep well soon! : )
