I have horrible insomnia too. But I have found that reading a book in a dim room for awhile has really helped get me tired and fall asleep. And if you still feel tired, I heard a green apple after you wake up is more effective than coffee! I have also heard(but not tried) that taking a cold bath an hour before bed releases a certain hormone that will put you to sleep. And to decrease morning fatigue, I have heard you can take a teaspoon of Flax Seed Oil before bed, while your sleeping it restores cells quicker, so you won't be as slow in the morning and tired.
