I was lucky. Out of three sons, I only had one that thinks everything gets solved with force. The oldest, while he can get quite cutting with his words, is mostly soft spoken. My middle son has always been gentle. My youngest always got told "GENTLE DOWN!!" I don't think he ever learned, though.
