(((LydiaB))) The fact that the thoughts upset you tells me how much you love your dog. I had Postpartum OCD and had the types of intrusive thoughts that you do, only they were directed toward my baby.

Awful, awful things. And nobody explained it to me.
I used to try to let the thoughts float through my mind, or sometimes tried to step back from them a bit and sort of think "oh, well that was different..." . But then there were days that I thought I had to be an absolute monster.
You do love your dog. Hang on to that and know that the thoughts are not you.
