I think that all of us have "child parts." Maybe it would be less judgmental to think of your needs in this way rather than labeling your behaviors and feelings as "childlike." There are parts of you that need nurturing and gentle reassurance, and I think it's okay to listen to this. I missed my T a lot too when I hadn't seen him for a while. I still miss him even now, years after therapy has ended. Is there a place inside of yourself where you can sense and feel the connection you have with your T? There can be a space to hold good feelings. Try offering extra comfort, patience and kindness to yourself now. Take care.
