It is tough. I was in pretty good shape when depression recently came back strong. After that I didn't feel in shape anymore. I do still believe that exercise is a good tool against depression and anxiety.
CatsRule, if you haven't had a physical exam recently, having one is something to think about. Just to rule out any organic causes like vitamin deficiency or anemia etc.
