I would think that once you ask for it to be deleted it is gone, but don't know for sure. My T was concerned about me coming here because I was triggered really bad in chat. I had started a thread about what was going on, and received some great supportive feedback from others here. I printed out some of the replies and showed them to my T. When she saw how supportive others were, she was ok with me coming here. This is a great place to give and receive feedback on life situations. Sometimes what is written really makes us take a step back and look at the situation from another point of view.
