Either way, what ever you decide is ok. Just by writing about your father you have acknowledged him and I think that is enough. Hold your head high and feel good about the rest of _your_ day.
My father is deceased. I loved him dearly, but father's day can hold it's own mix of emotions. This day used to be especially hard for me. Now they're just another day that I 'have' to remember...then go on with my day the best I can. I hope you have a GOOD day for yourself.
We can waste so much time worrying on what could/should of been.
