I'm sorry to hear you're going through this. If a GP isn't listening to you and not explaining themselves, any doc for that matter, it's good to find someone else. It still may not be what you want to hear in any discussion but at least with a discussion, you can understand better why it may not be right for you. You deserve a better quality of care. Be sure to get your records forwarded to your new doc, so not having to start from scratch. When interviewing new docs, explain how you take an active role in your care and appreciate it if they can answer questions, and whether they are amenable to this. Ask the staff too when you initially call for an appointment, ask how open the doc is to questions for more insight and how they are with their patients and will give you a better idea too. Some docs don't like to be questioned, you may save yourself some time and anguish by prescreening them.
