Peeing off a deck where people can see is something you could actually get arrested for if a cop saw you (in the US) Public Lewdness i think it's called.
However in our one bedroom house, there are times when I am in the bathroom and husband needs to go, he will go behind our secluded house - never off our deck.
Somehow I can always manage to hold it when HE is in the bathroom though - I'd drive to a store and use the bathroom there before going outside!
