Open Eyes: I have trouble with the idea that there is a magic pill that will be a solution to the ailments of a troubled childhood or conditions in which patients have been exposed to certain tramas or neglect.
The only way I know of to deal with traumatic life experiences is to fully experience any of the accompanying emotions that were present and not able to be dealt with then: grief, horror, abandonment, terror. Then, there comes a time of acceptance, assimilation, digestion and slowly, slowly, slowly recognizing that in addition to any weaknesses and vulnerabilities that may have been exposed, there were also strengths.
