I cut my upper arm a few months ago. I have a friend that I am getting closer to, have known for about a year now. We took our kids swimming today and I actually didn't hide my scars. I was SO afraid that she would look at me like I was crazy, but she didn't even mention it and we had a great time! I never thought I would be willing to wear a swimsuit again, but I did it!
