Do you have any social groups at work, like bowling, soccer, baseball teams you could join in? Anything fun?
What about volunteering at a soup kitchen or just look up volunteer activities in your area. Be a tutor or a big brother at a local boys town.
I'm thinking that even though you have nothing to show at the end of the month, perhaps filling this void with something that will give back to you and give you a sense of fulfillment at the end of the month, might help.
I feel pretty much the same way as I am disabled and penny pinching to stretch the dollar bill. Lately I decided to find ways to pinch back more, which is stirring up a creative side in me. One thing leads to another and just the activity of "action" is helping to get me out of my rut.
