I was feeding my cat a raw diet and then he developed Toxoplasmosis which led to his current neurological disorder. I was totally sold on the raw diet and was very disappointed about the outcome.
I recently went through all the higher quality foods such as EVO, Avoderm, Wellness, Royal Canin, Core, Blue Buffalo and three others, I can't remember their names. My vet recommended switching him to a better quality food due to his age. Anyway, no go, he wouldn't try a gradual introduction. I have tried over the past 8 years to switch him from Fancy Feast but he has been ... as you know.... very stubborn. Recently I introduced a hairball remedy dry crunchy by Science Diet along with Adult light and he's now eating that and only that. Wish I knew what turned him off with the better quality foods and why cheaper food like Fancy Feast and Science Diet is soo appealing. I kinda view Science Diet as equivalent to Fancy Feast with all the junk both of them have.
I'm growing grass and catnip for him to nibble on too.
I would love to have your recipe for baked treats
