I heard a radio blurb about a recent study that showed that the most important entry in one's exercise journal was not the length or intensity of exercise, or what you ate, or how many calories you consumed. The most motivating entry is the reason you are going through the process.

So, with that in mind, let's list some reasons that we are trying to eat healthier, eat less, or are exercising. I'll start:

- to fit back into my jeans from last year
- to get my ab and back muscles into shape for baby delivery purposes (but no, I'm not pregnant yet)
- because I feel healthier and more confident when I exercise and eat well
