The day ended up excellent in the productivity department. Whooo hoooo!!!!!
Here are some recent numbers so you can get an idea of how it went.
1500 lines - that's the minimum I need to do daily, or else kick butt to make it up on another day. My contract demands at least 15,000 per pay period.
800 lines - what I managed to force myself to do on Monday over the course of 12 hours. I was actively typing for only 5 hours and 15 minutes of those 12.
2000 lines - what I did Tuesday (today, the day I hit the wall) and it took only 90 minutes' typing time longer than the 800 day. I put in 6 hours and 50 minutes of actual typing time. The system doesn't log the time that you're getting the job ready to be typed, entering date and time and finding the patient's name if the doctor entered the medical record incorrectly.
Using the timer, CONSISTENTLY, really seems to be the key to keeping me on task. When I work in one hour chunks and see how productive I am, it pushes me to keep up the pace. I averaged 297 LINES AN HOUR

Holy cow!
