I modified the signature quote as it is actually, "Every time I eat something not good for me. . ." (I'm working on losing 125 pounds:-)

Another thing I use to help my insomnia is to "accept" it. I work around it (take a nap or go to bed early/late to accommodate what I want/need to do). But not fighting with it, trying to subdue it, which, if you think about it, is just fighting your "self", can help me relax a bit about it and enjoy reading until I'm sleepy or napping until I wake, etc. Try to "enjoy" what is "wrong" with you, see how it is beneficial (maybe there's something you "should" be considering but you're trying to sleep to forget, etc. or your diet is off or there's some other tiny problem you haven't considered that comes to light only because you can't sleep and thus are more open to considering everything.)
