My dentist made me a mouth guard but it was expensive and then the next time I had dental work it didn't fit anymore since my mouth had changed. I didn't like it either, having something big/bulky in my mouth when I'm trying to sleep; made relaxing even less likely :-)
Now that I think of it; I'd try chewing a wad of gum some time during the day a little ways before sleep.

Thats why I have been grinding my teeth so much here lately. I am trying to cut my obsessive gum chewing habit, and have cut out the eating late at nite thing so that makes sense. I`ll try the apple thing though. Yeah mym mom had a mouth guarde made and she says she hates it too. Stressed! Ha that`s just me always anxious. But especially here lately with school, job and relationship problems. I`ll give that a try though thanks.
