In your profile you will come across this question

"Do you want to be visible on the "Who's Online" screen?"

Which would eliminate you from the "Who's Online" list.

But there is also this question,

"Do you want users to see the actual forum/post you are looking at? "

This gives the option to the user to not show their location.
