My mother was gone most of the time when I was growing up. She'd come home from time to time to drop off some groceries so we would have something to eat but we'd usually run out a few days before she came back again, but when she was there she ignored and didn't even bothered with me in any way. And my father was drank a lot and I think he did drugs from time to time so he was completely out of touch a lot of the time and he was physically and emotionally abusive.
