For 4 weeks I've been trying to decide if I should give in and begin taking Effexor XR (which my doctor is recommending). Before that, she had me on Celexa for 4 days which gave me a horrible anxiety reaction and put me off taking ANYTHING other than Ativan. She will be taking me off of the Ativan tomorrow and I have to decide whether or not to start the Effexor XR.

I've been looking through different threads but I'm so confused. What type of side effects have been experienced by you all? My fear is the sleeplessness and anxiety. The doc may keep me on the Ativan until I get used to the Effexor XR - I'm not sure. Any advice/comments would be appreciated!
