I have been in therapy with the same counselor for six years. She has helped SO much, but I feel that I am on an even keel right now. The problem is I'm afraid that if something bad happens (serious illness or death of a loved one) it would send me into a serious tailspin. When I first started seeing her, we had to get special approval from my insurance because she is not a provider. If I would quit and then go back, I'm not sure they would approve. I guess I could go to someone else, but our relationship is really good and I'd hate to lose that. I could sure use some opinions, if anyone would like to share. Thanks
