I've compiled all of these suggestions into a document that will help us guide building a new mental health portal and community for a company I'm now working with called Revolution Health. The suggestions that I can implement here, too, I will try and do so (some of which I have implemented already!).

I have one answer when people ask me what are the answers to questions like this, and that's that the members know better than I what they want and would like out of their community. *You* are the community (not the software it runs on).

PS - You'd be surprised at how much basic functionality exists in these forums that doesn't exist in many others, so if we start out with even something like this, it's a good bit better than a lot of other offerings.
