Hi ~ I don't think there's anything "wrong" with you.  I think you're just a nice person ~ and you don't like people being mad at you. I'm like that to some extent too -- but I've had to put my foot down so I'm not taken advantage of so often.
If/when your brother asks for money for cigarettes, etc., you DON'T have to enable him to buy those -- they aren't good for him, and he could put his money to better use! And the fact that at times it causes you to come up short in the money department isn't FAIR. Why should YOU go without just because HE wants cigarettes?? You have to take care of yourself FIRST -- because no one else will !! By saying "no" to your brother, you might teach him to be more careful with his money (although I doubt it. )
And don't worry if he gets mad -- he'll get over it, and I guarantee you that he'll come back asking you for money again! LOL Make him be more responsible by saying NO.
