One problem I sometimes have is getting into the black/white of making decisions where you think whatever the decision one makes locks one in and has to be "the" right decision until the end of time. I think planning and decision making is like driving; you have to get rolling along and as you come to turns, then you decide to make them or not, etc. But planning out one's day and expecting it to go exactly as planned. . . that ain't usually going to happen :-) Same, for me, with big/complex decisions.
My DH and I decided to go to England the end of September so I'm moving in that direction. It could all go wrong, I could lose lots of money (I've already paid for the Tour I'm going for and the plane tickets, some additional days hotel reservations, etc.) or any number of things but those "problems" haven't come up yet so don't need to be solved now. Right now, I need to just take the "next" step I see. And that's not too hard, even for me
