While a number of studies in recent years have found toddlers -- and even babies -- can suffer from major depressive disorder, doctors have debated whether preschool depression was an isolated blip in a child's development or a sign of future problems.

this study may be helpful to moms who are concerned re their children. ironically i can remember being depressed as far back in my childhood as i can remember. beginning my teens it had a stronghold. later i was diagnosed bipolar with depressive tendacies.
