How about focusing on the breath and counting to 10 over and over again.

You're welcome.

Deep breathing is probably the easiest and best way to immediate relieve. I've spent two years in talk-therapy, learned TONS of information through textbooks on depression, anxiety, BPD, trauma etc. However, the emotional unrest doesn't go away with intellectual knowledge.

Basically I know my emotions are out of control at times. I'm not at peace with myself. Self-loathing pretty much takes up most of my day. I rage and wrack my brains daily trying to figure out who I am, what I want and what I'm able to do. Usually, my thoughts end up with me knocking the emotional crap out of myself - not helpful, very hurtful.

Meditation, deep breathing help you to: live in the moment, appreciate who you are and help you clear your mind of crap that just makes you feel bad.

I need to stop wishing I was someone else, doing something else. Hopefully, mediation will help.
Thanks for this!
