First of all- WELCOME to Psych Central!
None of us here are therapists but support each other with what we live with, and I guess we have to become our own therapist eventually!
I know that therapy is a frustrating and sometimes an infuriating process.
You have been with your therapist for 6 years which is great. Can you see how far you have come?
I would say- to trust your therapist with this one. Sometimes you can go over and over something and then suddenly-
CLICK! You'll work it out.
You have been through alot in the past, and it takes time and a lot of hard work (I've been having therapy for 4 years so far, I know what it is like!)
Sending you a big hug!
